Veilid - One to watch

There was an
article recently published in The Register discussing how stupid some of the provisions are in the current Online Safety Bill, and in particular the U.K. government's desire for tech companies to design in back-doors into their end to end encryption capabilities.

Within that article is a good description about a new networking framework,
Veilid. A peer to peer network that doesn't rely on masses of dedicated networking infrastructure has many attraction.

This is going to be a game changer if it gains traction and app developers begin to incorporate Veilid into their apps. Veilid uses the low level protocols of TCP, UDP and Websockets, which are widely supported and understood, removing barriers to its adoption and deployment. The open source project has made developer friendly resources available on GitLab.
